The Hotel Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local organizations, securing contracts for a variety of events including meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special functions. Working in close collaboration with culinary and event management teams, this role ensures the seamless delivery of catering services that exceed client expectations, enhancing the hotel's reputation as a go-to venue for premier events. The successful candidate will analyze market trends and monitor competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales approaches appropriately. This position demands a proactive individual with strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency with CRM software, and a deep understanding of catering operations. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, marketing, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in catering sales or hospitality sales management
- Strong knowledge of catering operations and event planning processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively with culinary and event teams
- Knowledge of market analysis and competitive positioning
- Ability to manage contracts and pricing strategies effectively
Job Qualifications

- At least 3 years of proven experience in catering sales or hospitality sales management
- Strong knowledge of catering operations and event planning processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in a hotel environment with a focus on food and beverage sales
- Established network of contacts within the corporate and event planning sectors
- Certification in event planning or hospitality sales
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market
- Ability to analyze financial data and develop pricing strategies
Job Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve catering revenue targets
- Identify, prospect, and secure new catering clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events
- Manage client relationships by understanding their needs, providing customized proposals, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with the culinary, banquet, and event management teams to ensure flawless execution of catering events
- Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to track performance and inform management decisions
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements while maintaining profitability and competitive positioning
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and local market conditions to adapt sales approaches
- Train and mentor junior sales staff to enhance team effectiveness and professional development
