Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- valid driver’s license
- universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- meet applicable state and federal certification or licensing requirements
- able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- capable of working with engineering computer programs
- follow safety and lockout/tagout procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- vocational or technical background
- at least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
- valid driver’s license
- universal chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- knowledge of safety and security policies
- ability to communicate effectively
- teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests
- communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
- perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
- display proficiency in air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other systems
- repair or replace PVC and copper piping
- troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, plumbing and electrical equipment
- program TVs and perform housekeeping and engineering-related duties
- assist with surface preparation, painting, drywall, and wood trim repair
- use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
- perform mid-level troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- train and mentor other engineers
- perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
- follow safety policies and complete safety training
- properly store flammable materials
- maintain cleanliness and professionalism
- welcome and assist guests
- develop positive working relationships
- move and lift equipment up to 50 pounds
- use stairs, ramps, and ladders
- enter and locate work-related information using computers
- perform other reasonable duties
