The Events Coordinator role in New York, NY, offers a unique opportunity to join a small, dedicated team consisting of a Meeting and Events Manager and Meeting and Events Coordinator. Working onsite during normal office hours with some potential overtime, the coordinator will navigate a dynamic work schedule that may include weekends and evenings due to frequent events.
This position is initially covering a leave, with potential to convert into a permanent role, and may offer an extension depending on the client’s requirements. The Events Coordinator will act as the crucial liaison between the client, external agencies tasked with event delivery, the landlord, and adjunct departments like security and audiovisual. Responsibilities include ensuring access arrangements, handling catering logistics, and coordinating event setup and breakdown.
A key to success in this role is exhibiting a friendly and engaging presence while being highly organized and comfortable moving across different venue areas, including stairwells. The role demands someone who can confidently represent the client, maintaining professionalism in all interactions and being visibly available on-site to manage day-of-event activities effectively.

- Support management of event budgets and track expenses
- Create and distribute event materials such as invitations, agendas, and presentations
