Job Description
Shared Services Argo and Farm Family are specialty property and casualty insurance brands whose underwriting companies are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Clearbrook Holdings Inc. These established insurance providers partner extensively with agents and brokers to deliver tailored insurance solutions that empower businesses to manage their risks confidently and effectively. With a robust reputation in the insurance market, both Argo and Farm Family emphasize service, trust, and innovation, catering to a diverse clientele ranging from individual policyholders to large commercial enterprises. The companies are committed to fostering strong relationships with their broker partners to ensure customers receive the best possible coverage and support in the event of claims or risk management advice.
This position is for an Event Planner within Shared Services, focusing on creating unforgettable experiences and managing a variety of event types including client engagements, broker meetings, internal team celebrations, as well as senior leadership retreats. The role demands a creative yet operational approach to event planning — the ideal candidate will excel in fast-moving and dynamic environments while driving event success from inception through execution. You'll orchestrate everything from intimate happy hours to large-scale, multi-day retreats including international programs, showcasing versatility in your event management skills. This role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and impact, placing the planner front and center in the company’s engagement and cultural efforts.
The Event Planner will join a collaborative and supportive team that values open communication, welcomes fresh ideas, and encourages innovation year after year. Responsibilities include independently managing smaller to mid-sized events end-to-end while collaborating on major annual company programs. Planning logistics and operations, including venue sourcing, vendor coordination, travel arrangements, transportation, and managing all facets of event registration and attendee communication, will be critical duties. There is also a strong emphasis on organization and process improvement – creating timelines, task lists, managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and continuously refining templates and workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability.
This role involves working closely with multiple departments such as Marketing, Procurement, Legal, and senior leadership, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to align various stakeholders towards shared event goals. The team culture is supportive and communicative, making even peak event seasons manageable and rewarding. Benefits and compensation are competitive within the industry including base salary aligned to location and experience (ranges from $64,300 to $90,000 depending on city), health benefits, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. This is a fully on-site role available in select locations including Chicago, New York City, Richmond, and Omaha. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., and sponsorship for employment visas is not available at this time.
