We are a dynamic and forward-thinking marketing organization seeking an experienced and highly strategic Director of Global Events for a 12-month maternity leave coverage. Our company operates in a fast-paced environment where innovation, creativity, and operational excellence are deeply valued. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing or event management
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in event planning and management
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-format events
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 15 percent of the time
- Proficiency with Cvent and virtual event technologies
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work remotely with bi-weekly office attendance
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Proven ability to interact confidently with executive and senior management
- Experience leading end-to-end event planning and execution
- Strong vendor and partner management skills
- Expertise in creating exceptional attendee experiences
- Proficiency in managing event marketing timelines and collateral
- Experience with virtual event platforms, specifically Cvent
- Strong analytical thinking and data reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- High degree of professionalism and discretion
Job Duties
- Oversee development and execution of global meetings and events
- Manage end-to-end planning of internal meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and virtual experiences
- Negotiate with vendors and trade show partners
- Oversee booth builds and onsite event planning
- Manage event marketing timelines including collateral and invitation workflows
- Build and manage event pages, registrations, and virtual event platforms
- Track event performance metrics and produce data-driven reports
