The company’s mission revolves around empowering clients with the confidence to thrive by leveraging insightful perspective and innovative solutions. Marsh is widely respected for its commitment to professional development, inclusive culture, and flexible working arrangements. Headquartered in New York City, Marsh offers employees opportunities for career growth, competitive remuneration, and an array of benefits focused on employee well-being and work-life balance.

In this dynamic environment, Marsh is currently seeking a talented individual to join their Global Events team as a Corporate Event Specialist. This role is hybrid, based primarily in the New York City office, demanding a minimum of four days per week onsite. The salary range for this role is competitive, from $65,800 to $131,500 annually, with the potential for performance-based incentives. The base salary will be adjusted based on factors including the candidate's experience, skills, certifications, education, and other relevant qualifications.

The Corporate Event Specialist will play an integral role in managing and producing both internal and external events. This responsibility covers the entire event lifecycle, from ideation and planning through to execution and post-event analysis. The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced environment that values creativity, attention to detail, and proactive teamwork. This position demands a professional who is passionate about hospitality excellence and able to build strong relationships among internal stakeholders, vendors, venues, and service providers.

Key aspects of the role include leading event planning efforts, securing venues, and negotiating contracts with hotels and special event spaces. The specialist will be responsible for budget management, including tracking expenses, processing payments, and conducting financial reconciliation post-event. The role requires hands-on management of all event details, such as venue operations, timelines, communications, transportation logistics, catering, speaker and sponsor coordination, audio-visual production, branding, and onsite supervision.

Moreover, the Corporate Event Specialist will establish and maintain strong partnerships with hotels, restaurants, and third-party providers, consistently monitoring market developments to optimize event quality. Evaluation and analysis of event effectiveness through attendee feedback and performance metrics will be a critical component to continuously enhance event impact.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of full-time experience in corporate event management, with exposure to C-suite or senior clientele events. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with event management software such as Cvent is highly desirable. This role requires residency in the NYC tri-state area and the flexibility to travel up to 20% annually for site visits and event execution, including availability during evenings and weekends.

Marsh fosters a vibrant and inclusive culture where talented colleagues collaborate to innovate and make meaningful impacts on clients and communities. The company promotes professional development opportunities and supports work-life balance through its flexible hybrid work model. Marsh is deeply committed to diversity and equal opportunity, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds and providing accommodations as needed to support inclusivity.
