We are currently seeking an Event Planner to join our Shared Services team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating memorable experiences and excelling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As our Event Planner, your responsibilities will span the spectrum of event management — from the creative concept stage to seamless operational execution. You will coordinate a wide variety of gatherings including intimate happy hours, multiday retreats, and large-scale international programs. This role provides the autonomy to manage events independently while collaborating on major annual initiatives and working closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Procurement, Legal, and senior leadership.
The Event Planner position offers significant visibility and impact, with opportunities to innovate and refine processes that enhance the efficiency and scalability of event operations. You will take charge of sourcing venues, coordinating vendors and travel, managing registration workflows, and overseeing onsite event execution with full authority to address any issues. The role critically involves building timelines, managing budgets, tracking expenses, and leveraging tools such as Salesforce and Pardot to craft event communications and workflows.
We value a collaborative culture where communication is open, fresh ideas are welcomed, and each team member takes pride in delivering exceptional results. Our team supports one another to make every busy season manageable while ensuring each event experience remains engaging and impactful. For candidates in locations such as Chicago, New York City, Richmond, and Omaha, this position offers a competitive salary range reflective of the local cost of labor, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
This 100 percent onsite role is an excellent fit for highly organized, creative professionals who enjoy a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution. If you are someone who thrives on ownership, values collaboration, and is driven to create experiences people remember, we would love to hear from you. Please note that applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as we currently do not sponsor employment visas. Argo Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
