Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years of full-time event management experience
- Must reside in the NYC tri-state area
- Experience with in-person and hybrid events
- Willingness to travel for site visits and event management
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and extended hours
- Ability to lift materials up to 30 lbs
- Hybrid role requiring at least 4 days per week in NYC office
- Approximate 20% annual travel
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time event management experience
- Strong corporate event planning background with C-suite experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with in-person and hybrid events
- Experience with contract negotiation
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with meeting management software such as Cvent is a plus
Job Duties
- Lead planning of assigned meetings and events by establishing vision and overseeing ideation, planning, and execution
- Identify, research, and secure meeting venues through site inspections and contract negotiations
- Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, review and process vendor invoices and wire transfers, and conduct post-event budget reconciliation
- Manage comprehensive event services including venue management, contracting, timelines, communications, registration, hotel arrangements, transportation, food and beverage, décor, speaker and sponsor coordination, AV/production, branding, mobile apps, off-site activities, shipping, and on-site supervision
- Establish and cultivate strong relationships with hotels, restaurants, and third-party providers
- Gather feedback from attendees, analyze event metrics, and prepare post-event reports
- Support development to optimize event planning process, standardize budget tracking, control expenses, leverage event technology, analyze event success, and improve attendee experience
