Job Description
Aimbridge Hospitality independently owns and operates a hotel located at 201 Hale Rd, Manchester, Connecticut, representing a separate entity from Marriott International, Inc. This establishment falls under the hospitality sector, specifically in hotel management and operations. Known for providing comfortable accommodation with enhanced amenities such as full kitchenettes, a seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness facilities including a tennis court and gym, and complimentary WiFi throughout the premises, the hotel aims to create an inviting environment for all guests. The property is conveniently positioned near Interstate 84 and is just a short 15-minute drive from Hartford's city center, making it an ideal location for business and leisure travelers alike.
The current opportunity is for a Director of Sales, a full-time, management-level position that plays a pivotal role in driving revenue and sustaining the hotel’s market presence. Reporting directly within the hotel management structure, this role requires a passionate and dynamic leader responsible for crafting and executing innovative sales and marketing strategies that propel the hotel toward exceptional commercial success. The Director of Sales is an overtime-eligible managerial role, which means the incumbent qualifies for additional compensation based on overtime hours worked.
This position requires the individual to be a sales and marketing specialist adept at fostering a motivated team, managing budgets, and building partnerships that enhance the hotel's profile and customer base. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in an energetic environment, blending creativity with strategic rigor to ensure that the hotel maintains its competitive edge and consistently meets or exceeds revenue targets. Responsibilities include training, mentoring, and motivating sales staff; developing and implementing impactful marketing campaigns; establishing and nurturing client relationships; conducting sales calls and property tours; and collaborating closely with the General Manager to support overall hotel operations.
Candidates stepping into this role will find themselves at the helm of a crucial operational function that not only contributes to the hotel's bottom line but also enhances its brand reputation. The culture promotes teamwork, excellence, and celebration of collective achievements, encouraging a working environment that values both individual initiative and group success. The hotel is committed to providing its employees with a comprehensive benefits package, after an initial waiting period, which encompasses medical, dental, and vision benefits; disability income protection; life insurance; paid time off; an employee assistance program; and a 401k retirement plan, among other perks. Additionally, the employer offers a quarterly incentive plan intended to reward high performance, underscoring the importance of delivering measurable results.
Overall, this role offers a highly rewarding career path for a sales professional eager to advance within the hospitality industry. By joining Aimbridge Hospitality’s team, the Director of Sales will contribute significantly to a property that prides itself on delivering outstanding guest experiences and maintaining a trendsetting position in a competitive market. With a salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 plus incentives, this opportunity marries financial reward with professional growth and the chance to influence the hospitality landscape in the Manchester, Connecticut area.
