Over the years, Liberty has grown to offer a comprehensive range of specialized services nationwide, including general requirements, equipment supply, concrete, special projects, and site access solutions. The company is renowned for its extensive expertise, innovative approaches, and outstanding customer service, which collectively ensure a smooth experience with safety and reliability as core priorities. Liberty has forged strong partnerships with key contractors and clients across multiple sectors such as commercial construction, residential development, healthcare facilities, and higher education institutions. The role of Safety Manager at Liberty is a critical leadership position that involves coordinating and managing safety programs to align with the company’s business objectives. The Safety Manager will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure that Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) risks are effectively mitigated on construction sites. This role demands a proactive approach to building a robust safety culture, providing day-to-day guidance to local management and staff, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

As a Safety Manager, you will be accountable for implementing and monitoring safety standards through various programs within Liberty’s EHS management system. Your responsibilities include conducting safety audits, training employees, reviewing subcontractor safety plans, and fostering a workplace environment that prioritizes employee safety and regulatory compliance. You will also be expected to operate independently, providing candid feedback when safety standards are not met, and collaborating with site leadership to coordinate effective training and development programs.

Additionally, the Safety Manager will advise on compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and local regulations. Other key duties include managing safety documentation, facilitating Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings with trade partners, and leading on-site safety discussions such as Toolbox Talks. Conducting safety training courses like OSHA 10 or 30 Hour and HAZWOPER certifications will also be part of your role, aimed at enhancing the team’s competency and awareness.

This full-time position offers an opportunity for experienced construction safety professionals to make a significant impact on Liberty’s operational excellence and employee well-being. The role requires hands-on engagement with job sites, construction trailers, and occasionally office settings, demanding adaptability to varied working conditions including exposure to temperature fluctuations and industrial noise. In return, Liberty fosters an inclusive and respectful work environment that values equal employment opportunities and prohibits discrimination in any form. Joining Liberty means becoming part of a forward-thinking company committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
