Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG operates a comprehensive platform that spans venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company manages a portfolio of seven world-class owned venues along with a client roster that includes some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions worldwide, operating across four continents. As an innovative and dynamic presence in the entertainment industry, Oak View Group is committed to revolutionizing live experiences and ensuring exceptional service standards for all guests attending their venues and events.

The Cook position at Oak View Group plays a critical role in the hospitality and food service operations within OVG’s managed venues. This role demands a high level of skill and efficiency as it involves preparing menu items using specialized cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Cook is expected to uphold strict food quality standards to guarantee guest satisfaction while managing important operational aspects such as portion control, minimizing food waste, and maintaining strict sanitation protocols in the kitchen. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $13.00 to $15.00 and is tailored for candidates who are passionate about delivering quality food products and exceptional service in a dynamic event-driven setting.

In this role, candidates will be responsible for cooking and packaging food products either made to order or kept warm until they are sold. Communication is key, as the Cook must receive and fulfill verbal orders from front counter staff promptly and accurately. Maintaining the highest quality and production standards on all menu items is essential, ensuring that the food served is fresh and meets Oak View Group’s rigorous standards. The position also emphasizes operational efficiency, requiring the Cook to monitor portion control and serving temperatures to uphold safety and consistency.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen is a vital part of this role. The Cook will be responsible for cleaning, stocking, and restocking workstations and displays regularly. Operating large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and ovens is a core duty, demanding familiarity with these appliances and adherence to safety protocols. The Cook must ensure all work areas and equipment are cleaned daily, food products are properly stored, utensils are sanitized and put away, and floors are swept and mopped at the end of each shift. Before concluding a work shift, the Cook will be checked out by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef to confirm the kitchen meets cleanliness and safety standards.

Oak View Group embraces diversity and is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee can thrive. The company understands that innovation and excellence in the entertainment industry stem from a workforce that is representative of the diverse communities it serves. At OVG, every voice matters, and inclusivity drives better service and stronger teamwork. The company is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to non-discrimination based on any legally protected status.

This Cook position remains open until September 4, 2026, and includes benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching for part-time roles, underscoring OVG’s commitment to supporting employee financial wellness and career stability.
