The Culinary Services Manager role at Provincial Senior Living is an exceptional opportunity for experienced culinary professionals who are passionate about creating excellent dining experiences for seniors. This hands-on leadership position is responsible for guiding all kitchen and dining operations within an independent senior living community. The role involves daily meal preparation, oversight of food service operations, and managing the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional resident dining experience that meets high-quality standards.

The Culinary Services Manager will develop and implement comprehensive food service policies, procedures, and job descriptions to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. As a hands-on leader, the manager will be directly involved in food preparation and cooking while also supporting and supervising staff during food service.

Additional responsibilities include ordering and verifying food and chemical supplies, maintaining accurate food inventory records, and conducting monthly audits. Regular quality assurance checks must be performed to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation practices, with a strong emphasis on following all safety and loss prevention procedures. The manager will also nurture productive vendor relationships and oversee food service agreements to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Staff management is a crucial element of the role, which involves scheduling, onboarding, and training kitchen personnel to cultivate a knowledgeable and motivated team. Financial management, including monitoring monthly food service expenditures and managing budget performance, is also a key responsibility to ensure that the kitchen operations remain financially sustainable. This role offers an excellent blend of operational leadership, culinary expertise, and team development within a supportive and mission-driven senior living environment.
