The Cook ensures preparations accommodate food allergies and special dietary requirements. Food safety in this role involves strict compliance with healthcare foodservice industry standards, including monitoring food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage to prevent contamination and spoilage. Meticulous attention to personal hygiene and cleanliness in cooking and service areas is mandatory to avoid cross-contamination. Maintaining proper labeling and storage for food, equipment, and machinery further supports the safety and operational efficiency of the kitchen. Cleaning and sanitation duties are also an integral part of the Cook’s responsibilities, ensuring a clean, safe environment for food preparation and service.

This position requires at least one year of food service experience and the ability to obtain a Food Handler Permit or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of employment.
