Position: The Boathouse- Sous Chef
About: The Boathouse, part of the Bean Restaurant Group family of restaurants, is looking for a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team. The Boathouse is one of the premier waterfront dining destinations on the beautiful Connecticut River. Our menu focuses on New England Classics as well as seasonal menu offerings crafted by Chef Gesner Lefevre. The ideal candidate is passionate about food and cooking, has a strong desire to learn, and will have an understanding of what it takes to execute exceptional food in a high volume atmosphere. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, who enjoys working with a close-knit team, and who takes pride in producing incredible product and an overall outstanding guest experience.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; two years experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment; ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods of time; passion for food; positive attitude and excellent communication skills
