Position: Sous Chef job
About: The Forest at Duke, a caring community aimed at fostering the independence of residents by enhancing their ability to lead healthy, active, purposeful, and secure lives, is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team. In this role, you will supervise the kitchen staff and assist in preparing, cooking, and serving premium food items for about five hundred guests for three meals a day in three different venues.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in food prep, handling, and cooking required; Prior experience in fine dining, Four & Five Star/Diamond Hotels and resorts is highly preferred; Current or previous supervisor experience with the ability to manage, direct, influence, and motivate direct reports; Culinary education/schooling is highly preferred; Strong communication skills; Customer service focus; Strong time management skills
