Position: Sous Chef (Annenberg Hall)

About: Operational Management: Lead and inspire a team of non-exempt culinarians for a campus cafe providing exceptional hospitality while ensuring food quality, cost standards, and safety regulations are met. Responsibilities include menu planning, inventory management, event coordination, equipment maintenance, and customer service. Fiscal Management: Develop and manage the budget, control costs, and ensure financial tasks are accurately completed per University standards. Additional Information: Manage non-exempt workforce, promote a positive work environment, conduct training, and enforce performance standards. Ensure compliance with HR policies and Collective Bargaining Agreement. Work Format Details: On-site position based primarily in Massachusetts, with potential onsite work during emergencies. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience; Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or HS Diploma with specialized training in Culinary Arts; Minimum of two years progressive culinary management experience preferred; Knowledge of world cuisines preferred; Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; Experience managing in a unionized environment; Strong communication skills; Adaptable and able to remain calm in stressful situations; ServSafe Certification within six months of employment; Valid MA state driver’s license
