Position: Executive Sous Chef| XL Center
About: Oak View Group is currently seeking an Executive Sous Chef to oversee the direction of the kitchen’s daily activities, ensuring guest satisfaction, profitability, and a positive work environment. This key role involves assisting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food and labor cost controls, event planning support, and staff supervision. The Executive Sous Chef plays a vital role in maintaining quality standards, fostering teamwork, and providing mentorship to kitchen staff.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 2-3 years kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue; technical proficiency in food preparation methods; ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities; demonstrated track record of meeting projected costs; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment; flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and long hours; proficiency in computer software including MS Word/Excel/Outlook; current Food Handlers card and alcohol service permit; knowledge of employee scheduling in a hospitality environment; certification in a nationally recognized sanitation program
