Position: Executive Chef | Durham Convention Center
About: The renowned venue AEG is seeking an Executive Chef to lead its culinary team and manage the F&B operation. The Executive Chef will oversee employee training, operations, and ensure a positive work environment while meeting company standards and objectives.
Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 years kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue; demonstrated track record of meeting projected costs; professional appearance and presentation; knowledge of computer software including MS Word/Excel/Outlook; current Food Handler’s card and alcohol service permit if required; working knowledge of employee scheduling in a hospitality environment; ability to obtain and maintain certification in a nationally recognized sanitation program; technical proficiency in food preparation methods; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and motivate staff; problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented and able to prioritize effectively; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and extended hours
