Job Description

Apartment Life is a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the living experience within apartment communities across the United States. Our mission is to foster strong, supportive neighborhoods where residents feel genuinely cared for and connected not only to their immediate environment but also to the wider community. By combining innovative event planning, genuine hospitality, and a passion for service, Apartment Life seeks to build vibrant residential communities that serve as welcoming homes for diverse populations. We emphasize a spirit of ministry intertwined with business excellence to create impactful, meaningful connections among residents, staff, and community partners. Our approach prioritizes personalized communication, radical hospitality, and consistent engagement to cultivate an environment where every resident can thrive socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on bringing a unique and transformative apartment living experience inspired by faith and service.

We are currently seeking dedicated and mission-minded Events and Ministry Coordinators who share a passion for connecting people and enhancing community life through well-planned social activities and genuine caring. This is a volunteer position, not paid, offering a chance to contribute meaningfully within an apartment community. Coordinators typically commit approximately 8 hours per week, mainly during evenings and weekends when most residents are home. The role involves planning at least one event per month that aims to connect residents, foster relationships, and introduce them to local services and businesses, enriching their community ties and overall living experience. Coordinators also engage in personal outreach, including visiting new residents shortly after they move in, and supporting staff and volunteers to maximize the impact of their outreach efforts.

Additional responsibilities include managing event budgets, preparing marketing materials such as social media posts, flyers, and monthly calendars, and working closely with property management and program directors for strategic planning and development. The position requires a highly relational individual who enjoys meeting new people, organizing social activities, and demonstrating God’s unconditional love through acts of care and hospitality. Ideal candidates will possess basic English fluency for communication, hold a valid driver’s license and insurance, and have reliable transportation to fulfill various duties including shopping for event supplies and meeting with community partners. Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing stairs and lifting up to 25 pounds is also important due to the active nature of the role. This role is perfect for individuals who want to make a difference in their community while gaining experience in event coordination, community engagement, and ministry outreach. Volunteers have the unique opportunity to blend business practices with ministry efforts, creating a welcoming and supportive apartment environment that stands out due to its commitment to care, connection, and community impact.
