Job Requirements
- Must be able to view set-ups, read fine print, see colors and observe rooms in poorly lit conditions
- excellent communication skills required for verbal interaction with guests and associates
- excellent literacy necessary to read BEOs, process gratuities and payroll
- requires 12th grade level mathematics, spelling and reading skills
- must be able to meet clients on and off premises and attend functions, climb stairs, and operate basic office equipment
- willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform job functions
- office environment with some weather exposure during sales calls
Job Qualifications
- More than two years of post-high school education
- 3+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, catering, or high-end event management with hotel background preferred
- demonstrated expertise in wedding and event planning with successful upscale events
- refined communication and interpersonal skills
- strong organizational skills managing multiple events
- calm and solutions-driven mindset
- familiarity with event management software, contracts, and banquet operations
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients after inquiry and contract through post-event follow-up, conducting thorough consultations with clients to capture event vision and expectations, design tailored menus with the culinary team, prepare and review Banquet Event Orders and event diagrams, lead pre-event planning meetings with hotel departments, oversee event setup and décor installation, provide hands-on event day leadership and troubleshoot issues, anticipate guest needs and resolve challenges, conduct post-event evaluations with clients and teams, foster relationships with preferred vendors, partner with sales team to convert inquiries to bookings, ensure compliance with hotel policies and safety regulations, maintain records of event details and financials, represent the hotel at industry events and site visits
