Job Description
Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation Americas (TMEIC) is a leading global provider of industrial electrical equipment and systems, specializing in power electronics, material handling, automation, and automation solutions designed to improve operational efficiency and sustainability across multiple industries. The company is recognized for its innovative engineering and dedication to quality, serving diverse sectors such as renewable energy systems, metals, paper, and other capital equipment industries. TMEIC's commitment to cutting-edge technology and customer-centric solutions positions it as a trusted partner for companies looking to enhance their industrial processes with reliable and advanced products and services.
The Marketing Event Manager role at TMEIC is a pivotal position within the Business Development and Marketing department located in Houston, TX. This full-time role is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of corporate, client, and industry marketing events that align with the company’s business goals and brand positioning. The Marketing Event Manager will oversee the entire event lifecycle from concept development through post-event evaluation, ensuring that every event drives attendance, engagement, and ultimately supports revenue growth.
In this capacity, the individual will manage the annual event calendar, coordinate logistics, and develop comprehensive project plans and timelines that guide the preparation and execution of each event. This includes collaborating closely with marketing management to align messaging and branding, managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and maintaining strong relationships with industry stakeholders such as trade show organizers. Key responsibilities also involve tracking and reporting on event performance through KPIs, managing promotional inventories, and ensuring compliance with shipping and logistics requirements.
The role demands a highly organized, proactive professional with strong interpersonal skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. The Marketing Event Manager will also be expected to coordinate internal employee events and provide critical support to the broader marketing team by developing event handbooks and maintaining booth schedules and inventories. The position offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with experience in marketing communications and event management within capital equipment or related industrial sectors to contribute to a dynamic, technology-driven global organization.
Candidates for this position should expect to travel domestically (up to 25%) and internationally (up to 15%), sometimes at short notice, which underscores the global nature of TMEIC’s operations. The company fosters a culture based on integrity, client focus, teamwork, and personal commitment, emphasizing continuous improvement and professional development. Preferred qualifications include an MBA or master’s degree in marketing and experience in power electronics or industries such as renewable energy and materials handling, along with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software and experience with foreign-owned businesses, ideally Japanese. This role is not only integral to TMEIC’s marketing strategy but also a key driver in enhancing the company’s presence and influence in the industrial systems marketplace.
