Job Description
ResCare Community Living, a part of the Sevita family, has been a trusted provider of quality services since 1974. Specializing in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, this organization is dedicated to empowering people to live more independently at home and within their communities. With decades of experience and a compassionate, well-trained team, ResCare Community Living focuses on person-centered services designed to help individuals build vital life skills, overcome personal challenges, and achieve their fullest potential. As part of a broader network under Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care, the organization benefits from a large-scale mission committed to enhancing the quality of life for tens of thousands of individuals across the United States. Sevita’s workforce of 40,000 employees continues to innovate and provide specialized care that addresses both physical and intellectual challenges people face, ensuring dignity and independence are always preserved.
The Program Supervisor role at ResCare Community Living is a critical position centered on directly impacting the lives of individuals served by the organization. This position offers an hourly wage of $10.00 and presents a meaningful career opportunity for those passionate about making a difference. The Program Supervisor oversees the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and participates actively in administrative responsibilities, including hiring, training, scheduling, and ongoing supervision of caregiving staff. This role demands a balance between providing direct support—such as meal preparation, medication administration, personal care—and fulfilling professional and supervisory duties. The Program Supervisor plays a vital part in facilitating community involvement, supporting individuals during community outings, or providing transportation to work and various activities, ensuring an engaging and supportive environment for all.
This position encourages the development of supervisory skills while maintaining direct interaction with those receiving services, allowing for personal growth as well as professional advancement. Candidates in this role will need to demonstrate strong communication abilities, organizational skills to maintain staffing and scheduling effectively, and the compassion necessary to relate well with both team members and individuals supported by the program. Opportunities include full, part-time, and as-needed schedules, comprehensive benefits for full-time employees, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and a rewarding work environment with robust career development prospects nationwide. At ResCare Community Living and Sevita, employees experience job security within an inclusive workplace that values diversity and equal opportunity for all individuals regardless of background or characteristics protected by law.
