Job Description
Hotel Lucine is a thoughtfully restored mid-century motor lodge located on Galveston’s historic Seawall. As a boutique hotel and social club, it is uniquely positioned as a vibrant coastal gathering place where design, music, food, and community intersect, creating an inviting environment for travelers, locals, creatives, and weekend escape artists. The hotel embodies the relaxed Gulf Coast energy and personality, making it a standout destination on the Texas Gulf Coast. Equal parts innovative and welcoming, Hotel Lucine offers a distinctive hospitality experience that blends a boutique hotel atmosphere with dynamic social spaces and cultural programming.
At the heart of the Lucine experience is its robust and diverse Food & Beverage operation, which is central to engaging guests throughout the day and night. The property features multiple unique outlets including The Fancy, the signature restaurant known for imaginative cuisine; The Den, an all-day café and lounge perfect for casual dining; The Roof, a Gulf-facing rooftop bar with scenic views and vibrant energy; as well as beach programming, seasonal activations, and private events such as weddings and celebrations. These elements combine to forge an energetic hospitality ecosystem where food, beverage, music, and atmosphere work in harmony to create memorable guest experiences.
The Food & Beverage Manager role at Hotel Lucine is a pivotal leadership position that blends hospitality passion with operational discipline. Reporting to senior management, the successful candidate will oversee daily operations across the hotel’s diverse food and beverage outlets. This role involves coordinating with restaurant, bar, culinary, and hotel leadership to maintain exceptionally high service standards, staffing efficiency, team training, cleanliness, and financial goals. The Manager will play an active role in service by maintaining a strong floor presence, coaching front-of-house employees, engaging directly with guests, and fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.
Financial oversight responsibilities include labor management, inventory controls, purchasing controls, and maintaining profitability while identifying opportunities for cost improvement. The Food & Beverage Manager will also lead the planning and execution of events and programming that enhance guest experiences and revenue growth. This position requires a hands-on approach to operational excellence, compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations, and a strategic mindset to contribute toward the hotel's continued success as a distinctive destination.
This is an ideal opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment and is passionate about driving results through engaged teams and consistent guest satisfaction. The role offers a rewarding environment that supports creativity and entrepreneurship within an independent ownership structure, enabling the manager to help shape the future of one of the most unique hospitality venues on the Gulf Coast. With a competitive salary of $70,000, the Food & Beverage Manager will be integral to fostering a friendly, dynamic atmosphere while supporting the growth and evolution of the hotel’s programming and offerings.
