The role of Food & Beverage Project Manager at Alamo Drafthouse is a dynamic and multifaceted position ideal for someone who is passionate about film and food. This role is central to managing and innovating Alamo’s food and beverage programs, which include everything from the core menu served in the theaters, to cocktails offered in specialty bars, and even unique menu items served at private movie parties.
The Food & Beverage Project Manager will work closely with several teams including culinary, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure the menus are not only creative and exciting but also strategically aligned with the company’s mission to provide guests with an awesome experience. Responsibilities span from the meticulous costing of recipes and menu builds, to coordinating training materials for team members about new menu initiatives. The manager acts as a bridge between different departments to facilitate smooth menu rollouts and innovative food and beverage offerings.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant food and beverage management experience
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in using computer software and inventory management tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to adapt and overcome challenges
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Availability to work flexible hours as required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in restaurant management and/or culinary arts degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience managing a high-volume food and beverage establishment with an emphasis on BOH procedures
- History of exceptional partnerships with both front and back of the house operations
- Strong proficiency with software programs including PowerPoint/Slides, Excel/Sheets, and Word/Docs
- Adaptive and problem-solving attitude
- Knowledge or experience with ClickUp, Toast, Vista, Crunchtime is a major plus
Job Duties
- Uphold standards of behavior as defined by the company Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines
- Contribute to maintaining a strategic roadmap and target calendar for Alamo’s Food and Beverage programs, including core, limited time offer, sponsorship, and private event menus
- Assist with various menu initiatives such as comprehensive costing of recipes, creation and proofreading of training materials, contributing to nutritional information projects, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Design teams
- Organize and maintain schedules and lines of communication with various operators on local menu initiatives
- Maintain current recipe builds and up-to-date products in inventory software
- Assist in setting and exceeding Food Safety standards and protocols
- Manage and organize Alamo Test Kitchen inventory and product development
