The Food Service Manager role within this group is a critical management position responsible for overseeing and enhancing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from menus. This role involves developing and implementing dining solutions that align with customer preferences and organizational standards. The Food Service Manager leads operational and team management aspects to ensure the delivery of high-quality food service experiences. This includes managing front-of-house operations in retail dining spaces such as cafeterias and residential dining facilities, in collaboration with the Food Service Director.

Key responsibilities include coaching and developing team members using Aramark's proven coaching model to maximize their potential and ensure engagement and productivity. The Food Service Manager fosters a positive work culture by recognizing and rewarding employee achievements, conducting daily team briefings, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. They maintain effective client relationships by understanding client needs and communicating operational progress clearly and proactively.

Financial management is another core component of this role. The Food Service Manager ensures the accurate completion and maintenance of profit and loss statements and works diligently to meet financial targets set by both clients and the company. They actively adopt Aramark's operational processes and leverage performance metrics, data trends, and inventory management to enhance operational efficiency and improve profit margins.

Job Requirements

  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Ensure entire team is trained and able to implement
  • Supervise team regarding production, quality and control
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
  • Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations
  • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer
