The Nurse Manager of Blood Cancer Unit role at Medical City Dallas is a critical leadership position that supports the hospital’s mission, vision, and goals. This role is responsible for overseeing all departmental functions within the Blood Cancer and Stem Cell population unit, ensuring high standards of patient care, operational efficiency, and resource management. The Nurse Manager will lead efforts to develop cost-effective systems and processes, monitor and enhance customer satisfaction and employee involvement, and foster effective relationships among patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. Collaboration with senior management is essential to achieve the goals of both the facility and the specialized units.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, with advanced degrees preferred, and at least five years of management experience that encompasses personnel management, payroll, budgeting, business planning, marketing, and supervisory roles. Licensure requirements include a current Registered Nurse license in Texas or a compact license and current Basic Life Support certification, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 12 months of hire. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Five years management experience including personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, physician relations and supervisory positions
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Provider
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS required within 12 months of hire
