Job Requirements
- bachelors degree in a related discipline
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- ability to work outside office hours including weekends and evenings
- five years of relevant professional experience in events or conference coordination (in-person and virtual)
- valid drivers license
- reliable transportation

Job Duties
- plan conferences and community events
- manage event coordination and implementation for multiple projects
- meet with assistant director of events to provide updates
- create unique ideas, concepts, and dcor models
- maintain photo archives and supply inventories
- lead and attend preparation meetings
- communicate SCAD standards to clients
- develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
- coordinate marketing and public relations efforts
- request proposals and quotes from vendors
- coordinate print, visual, social media, and web requests
- develop ideas for gifts and giveaways
- source all dcor
- complete financial paperwork promptly
- research and reserve entertainment
- coordinate space reservations, housekeeping, grounds, transportation, and security needs
- liaise with city departments for police presence and ordinance compliance
- manage permits, licensing, and volunteer coordination
- ensure quality guest interactions as event host
