Job Description

The hiring establishment is a client of The Sage Group, a well-known recruitment and talent solutions firm. The client is a leading company in the technology sector specializing in cloud-native, low-code/no-code Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS). Their platform is designed to accelerate enterprise-grade automation, allowing various departments such as IT, HR, finance, and marketing teams to connect applications seamlessly and automate workflows through AI and pre-built connectors. This innovative approach eliminates the need for extensive coding, making complex integrations accessible to a broader range of users within an organization.

As the company continues to expand its brand awareness and presence within the industry, they are seeking a skilled Events Coordinator with at least two years of experience to join their dynamic team. The role is particularly focused on managing and coordinating events targeted at developers and tech professionals. This position requires someone with a solid understanding of event management within the technology space, and basic audio-visual (AV) knowledge to handle troubleshooting during live events.

The Employment type for this role is contract with a possibility to extend or convert to a contract-to-hire position depending on performance and company needs. The position offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $40 to $55 per hour. The location is hybrid with a preference for San Francisco, CA, but remote work is acceptable except when physical attendance is required at events.

The role of Events Coordinator involves managing the complete lifecycle of event participation from planning to execution. Key responsibilities include coordinating logistics with vendors, collaborating closely with Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) to plan event participation, managing attendee lists, and ensuring the alignment of content and messaging throughout the event. The coordinator will also maintain detailed documentation and to-do trackers related to event planning to ensure smooth operations.

Furthermore, the Events Coordinator is tasked with overseeing all event aspects such as swag distribution and catering services, leading the event strategy and operational implementation, and maintaining excellent vendor and stakeholder relationships. One of the important facets of this role is to serve as a primary point of contact for AV troubleshooting on-site and become the power user of AV equipment once the designated AV professional leaves the event. This requires technical aptitude and a willingness to learn and manage AV operations efficiently.

Successful candidates will bring 2 to 5 years of event management experience within the tech industry, ideally interacting with developer communities. They should be proficient with tools like Asana or similar project management software and possess excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and visibility of a cutting-edge technology platform while honing expertise in event coordination and operations within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
