The role demands a high level of organizational skill, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, vendors, venues, and internal teams. The Event & Catering Service Manager acts as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the entire event lifecycle – from initial planning and coordination to onsite execution and post-event follow-up.\n\nIn terms of responsibilities, this role requires managing all facets of event execution in a fast-paced environment. The manager must consult with clients to understand their objectives, develop operational timelines, coordinate menu selections alongside the culinary team, and ensure meticulous preparation and setup of event layouts, including furniture arrangement and service stations. Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of client-facing event planning experience
- Serve-Safe Manager and RBS certifications
- High school diploma required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand and walk constantly
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 10-15 lbs frequently
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Covid vaccination with accommodations in line with regulations
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of client-facing event planning experience

- BA/BS in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, or related field preferred

- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio helpful
Job Duties
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of event execution
- Consult with clients to determine event objectives and service expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
- Collaborate with the Catering Chef on menu development
- Participate in client meetings and site visits
- Prepare detailed event sheets and operational timelines
- Coordinate menu selections with culinary team
- Develop floor plans and event layouts
- Source and price rental orders
- Liaise with venue partners and conduct site inspections
- Coordinate staffing allocations
- Prepare packing lists with Warehouse Team
- Collaborate with Lead Steward on equipment preparation and event setup
- Oversee setup and arrangement of event spaces
- Provide on-site leadership and direction to service team during events
- Ensure compliance with food handling and venue standards
- Maintain communication with clients and vendors during events
- Ensure guest and staff safety
- Direct event breakdown and load-out
- Maintain staffing records and labor tracking
- Conduct post-event follow-up with clients and vendors
- Evaluate operational performance and identify improvements
- Oversee inventory organization and reconciliation
- Submit receipts and complete accounting documentation
- Address and resolve operational challenges and guest concerns
- Assist Sales & Design Team with special projects
