The company thrives on its unique approach, blending deep industry expertise with a passion for creating memorable experiences that continuously set the bar in the events industry. Cohera’s San Diego office is an integral part of its nationwide footprint, known for producing vibrant and engaging events that capture the spirit and objectives of its clients.

The Event Manager role at Cohera’s San Diego office is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality-oriented professional passionate about producing dynamic corporate events. This position is designed for someone who brings both creativity and strategic insight to the lifecycle of event management. The successful candidate will join a high-performing team dedicated to crafting a diverse range of corporate gatherings, from carnival-themed seminars to sophisticated Latin nightclub receptions. The Event Manager will be responsible for overseeing billing procedures in partnership with the Program Financial Manager and must excel in budget management, forecasting, and profitability analysis.

Cohera places a strong emphasis on building and maintaining robust client relationships facilitated through professional communication, problem-solving, and an in-depth knowledge of local destinations and resources. The Event Manager will support all client interactions from contract negotiations to post-event follow-ups, ensuring repeat business and opportunities for upselling. Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Strategic Accounts, Design and Development teams, as well as external vendors, is essential for seamless program delivery.

This role also expects the candidate to actively participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and industry functions to continually enhance skills and stay abreast of industry trends. Leadership qualities including team development and coaching are vital, alongside an ability to adapt in a fast-paced, flexible environment. The Event Manager will occasionally be required to travel domestically and support multiple office locations as needed, demonstrating versatility and dedication.

Overall, Cohera offers a supportive and innovative work environment that values integrity, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement. This position not only promises professional growth and development but also a chance to be part of a company that is shaping the future of destination management and corporate event production.
