Job Description

Hyatt Vacation Club is a prominent leader in the vacation ownership industry, recognized for its exceptional commitment to providing memorable vacation experiences to its customers. As part of the renowned Marriott Vacations Worldwide family, Hyatt Vacation Club operates with a focus on quality, guest satisfaction, and a strong sense of community. The company manages an extensive portfolio of vacation properties and offers a unique vacation ownership model that allows members to enjoy flexible and high-quality vacations across multiple destinations. Hyatt Vacation Club emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and delivering outstanding service at every interaction, making it a highly respected name within the hospitality and vacation ownership sectors.

The role of Field Event Setup & Maintenance Coordinator at Hyatt Vacation Club is a dynamic and crucial position responsible for the seamless execution of event setups and breakdowns at a variety of venues such as sporting games, concerts, malls, fairs, markets, and trade shows. This position requires frequent travel to ensure all event materials—including booths, tables, tents, and other supplies—are properly arranged and maintained, providing an outstanding representation of the Hyatt Vacation Club brand. In this role, the coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for vendor interactions, meticulously overseeing contract compliance, risk management requirements, and vendor coordination to ensure every event runs smoothly from start to finish.

The coordinator must also uphold the visual and professional standards of the Hyatt Vacation Club brand by maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and uniform appearance. This includes adhering strictly to company policies, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, and communicating effectively across multiple teams and external contacts. Communication skills are essential in this position, as the coordinator will receive, relay, and record messages with precision and clarity, ensuring that all team members and stakeholders are informed at every stage.

The Field Event Setup & Maintenance Coordinator will also be responsible for driving a company-provided van or truck to transport necessary items to event venues. Flexibility regarding working hours is key, as the role may include early mornings, late nights, and possible breaks throughout the day depending on event schedules. Open availability seven days a week is highly preferred to respond to the varying demands of event setups at different venues.

This temporary position extends through July 14, 2025, and is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to gain diverse experience in event coordination within the hospitality and vacation club industry. Hyatt Vacation Club, along with Marriott Vacations Worldwide, is committed to fostering an inclusive culture and providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants, including those with arrest and conviction records pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. It is important to note that this position is located at a venue where Hyatt is not the direct employer; instead, employment benefits and obligations will be managed by a third-party management company.

Overall, this role is perfect for detail-oriented, proactive professionals who excel in logistics, vendor management, and event execution, and who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences through impeccable event setups and maintenance. The Field Event Setup & Maintenance Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting Hyatt Vacation Club’s brand image internally and externally, ensuring every event is an opportunity to highlight the company’s reputation for excellence and customer commitment.
