Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in event sales or related hospitality roles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Experience in event sales or hospitality industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with event planning processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
Job Duties
- Communicate with potential and existing clients to understand their event needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process
- Collaborate with various departments within the hotel to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly including catering, audio/visual, and room setup
- Conduct site visits and provide tours to clients to showcase the hotel’s event spaces and amenities
- Create and present event proposals and contracts to clients ensuring all details and pricing are accurately and clearly communicated
- Actively pursue new business opportunities and develop relationships with local organizations and event planners
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current market trends and competitor offerings to effectively sell the hotel’s event spaces and services
- Utilize sales techniques and strategies to meet and exceed event sales goals
