Position: Training Support Chef, Campus Dining
About: Vanderbilt University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a Training Support Chef for Campus Dining to teach and train culinary team members, shape culinary skills, and prepare future leaders in a dynamic educational setting. The position plays a pivotal role in curriculum development, instruction, skill development, evaluation, mentoring, special event support, collaboration, and operational duties within the campus dining environment.
Requirements: A high school diploma or GED is necessary; An associate degree in Culinary Arts is preferred; 5 years of related culinary management and experience required; Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen sanitation, and inventory management; Excellent communication and leadership skills; Creativity in menu development; Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders; Commitment to staying updated on food trends; Strong record of business judgment; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Demonstrated ability in exceptional customer service; ServSafe Manager certification required within 30 days of hire; AllerTrain U certification required within 30 days of hire
