Pastry Chef Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare a variety of desserts, pastries and baked goods according to recipes and customer preferences
  • Oversee the production and presentation of all pastry items, ensuring high quality, consistency and adherence to standards
  • Develop new pastry recipes and menu items, taking into account seasonal ingredients, culinary trends and dietary restrictions

  • Monitor food costs and portion control to maximize profitability while minimizing waste and spoilage
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to coordinate menu planning, special events and catering orders

Pastry Chef Experience Requirements & Skills
