Position: Spa Supervisor
About: To provide training and refresher training to all colleagues. Daily, weekly and monthly goal setting for all spa associates in relation to budget for treatments and retail. Assist in the creation of reception and locker room schedules. Ensure all providers conduct treatments and packages at booked times. Ensure all providers work schedules are properly established, including meal breaks, in a timely manner. Ensure these are communicated to reception at the start of each day. Schedules are not to be changed without approval from the director. Ensure all therapists follow Chuan Journey and Room Set up according to Therapy Manual. Record all training conducted, keeping an attendance sheet for each training session. Submit to Spa Director, HR, and Corporate. Ensure all spa defects, in regards to treatment areas, are reported to appropriate management. Ensure all therapists and providers report to work punctually wearing the correct uniform, and if not, report to the director. Maintain clear lines of communication with Spa Front Desk Agents, therapists, and operations team, as well as other departments within the hotel. Attend Department/Hotel meetings as required. Receive regular updates from the Director and perform routine market research on the industry’s best practices, latest treatments, products, and services in the marketplace. Assist with Sales and Marketing programs and events. Be fully aware of hotel Health and Safety policies and Fire procedures. Adhere to health and safety requirements by using safe working practices at all times. Review In your Element cards, GSI/KPI scores monthly with the director as well as comment cards relating to the spa with Director and make necessary changes. Review Mystery Shopper Program Results and My Colleague results with the Director and make necessary changes for improvement. Always treat internal (colleague) and external guests with the highest respect and appreciation. When a conflict occurs, immediately inform the director for assistance. Inventory control and maintenance. Assist Director with all 90-day and annual reviews. Assist with retail and professional orders in conjunction with spa services offered as well as creating purchase orders for supplies that relate to treatments. Serve as Spa MOD. Additional responsibilities as required by the supervisor. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Requirements: Activities include standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, lifting, carrying, seeing, hearing, talking, walking. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Present a positive and professional work ethic. Demonstrate professional customer service skills as required and updated by the Hotel. Computer knowledge in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Book4Time are desirable. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. One year experience in a similar role preferred. Experience in a spa setting for a minimum of 1 year required. Massage therapy certification/license in California preferred.
