This job opening is for the position of Sales & Marketing Manager at a hotel, reporting directly to the General Manager. Additionally, the Sales & Marketing Manager responds to a wide variety of guest requests, addresses and resolves complaints in a professional manner, and supports the General Manager in meeting the property's comprehensive business objectives such as budget attainment, revenue targets, occupancy levels, and guest satisfaction scores. The role demands strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in hotel sales and marketing or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if required
Basic math skills
Ability to use computer systems and software
Valid driver’s license preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Willingness to participate in required training programs
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Duties

Respond to all group inquiries including guest room blocks and meeting room
Prepare group and meeting room contracts and ensure they are executed properly
Maintain open communication with group and meeting planner throughout the sales process
Maintain sales records and provide reporting as required
Represent the hotel at area business and social functions
Participate in weekly sales and marketing meetings and revenue meetings
Review and understand the profit and loss statement
Oversee meeting room scheduling, billing, and set up
Work with outside vendors to ensure group needs are met
Provide excellence in guest service and monitor guest satisfaction
Use persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and promote marketing programs
Have knowledge of property management system and Microsoft Office suite
Participate in and support a positive, enjoyable work environment
Hold an understanding of hotel products and services
Perform other duties as assigned
