Job Description

Parking Management Company (PMC) is a nationally recognized leader in hospitality-focused parking services, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. PMC excels in providing comprehensive parking solutions including valet and self-parking management, shuttle services, event parking, and porter/bell services. The company operates across a variety of industries such as hotels, resorts, healthcare facilities, and event venues, tailoring its offerings to enhance the overall guest experience. With a strong commitment to excellence and a guest-first mindset, PMC positions itself as an extension of the hospitality experience, delivering seamless and high-touch service to both partners and guests. Known for its professionalism and dedication to quality, PMC understands the importance of making the parking experience smooth, safe, and welcoming as a critical component of the broader hospitality service.

The Lot Attendant / Lot Auditor role at PMC is essential for maintaining an efficient and orderly parking operation that supports a positive guest interaction. This position involves a range of duties including directing traffic, assisting customers, monitoring the parking lot, and ensuring the area is kept clean and secure. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, friendly, and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Both full-time and part-time employment options are available, with a non-exempt hourly wage that can vary depending on the market location.

The position's primary objective is to provide exceptional customer service while guaranteeing safety and cleanliness in the parking environment. Lot Attendants / Lot Auditors are responsible for enforcing parking policies, supporting day-to-day lot operations, and acting as a key point of contact for guests who require assistance with payments or general parking questions. This role also emphasizes teamwork and effective communication, requiring the use of radios and close coordination with supervisors and coworkers to maintain a positive and professional work atmosphere.

Beyond the essential duties, employees in this role are expected to take on additional responsibilities such as attending training sessions, adapting to changing schedules, and maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times. The company places a strong focus on compliance with safety standards and legal requirements, making sure that every team member adheres to parking policies and security protocols, while also promoting a culture of alertness around moving vehicles and environmental hazards.

PMC supports its workforce with competitive benefits including comprehensive health plans (medical, vision, and dental insurance), supplemental insurance options, bonus opportunities, paid time off, and paid training programs. Additionally, opportunities for tuition assistance through Belleview University and access to nationwide discounts demonstrate PMC's commitment to employee development and satisfaction. The company proudly identifies as a military-friendly employer and ensures compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, pay transparency, and equity in compensation practices.

Given the active and sometimes physically demanding nature of this role, candidates must be capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods. Schedule flexibility is critical, as shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays. PMC also emphasizes the importance of clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery, ensuring that every guest interaction is managed with patience, empathy, and professionalism. Finally, adherence to company policies and state and federal employment laws rounds out the standards expected of each team member, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a stable and gratifying career in hospitality-driven parking management.
