The organization prioritizes the needs of both internal and external stakeholders and is committed to making a positive impact in all its endeavors. As an innovative and passionate group of hoteliers and restauranteurs, SHG operates more than 200 locations spanning 38 states and three countries. Their expansive portfolio includes a variety of distinguished brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, along with unique, independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants.

In this crucial role as General Manager at Hotel Ballast, you will be entrusted with driving the success of a well-established hospitality property by ensuring operational excellence and cultivating an exceptional guest experience. This position demands leadership that is adaptable, solution-oriented, and hyper-focused on fostering team growth and maintaining high standards. The General Manager will manage various aspects from budgeting and financial planning to recruitment, staff training, and guest relations. You will play a key role in developing strategic plans to achieve sales and profit goals while preserving the hotel’s assets through close supervision of maintenance, renovations, and vendor relationships.

SHG creates a supportive work environment that values inclusivity and employee development. Employees can expect a rewarding, flexible workplace culture that encourages growth and engagement. The benefits package is robust and designed to provide comprehensive support for associates, including health insurance options, life insurance, 401k with company match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, and employee assistance programs. Moreover, programs like Daily Pay allow employees to receive payment for work completed without delay, and associates gain access to free telemedicine and virtual mental health care starting from day one. This role is perfect for a driven hospitality leader eager to join a team that genuinely recognizes and values its people as its greatest asset and wants to grow professionally in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
