Job Description
Cohera Services is a dedicated event staffing company specializing in providing highly trained and professional event staff for diverse hospitality functions. With a strong commitment to client satisfaction and event excellence, Cohera Services supports a wide range of clients including corporate events, conferences, hospitality venues, and entertainment gatherings. Recognized for its emphasis on professionalism and quality, Cohera Services seeks individuals who are proactive, attentive, and passionate about delivering outstanding service in fast-paced environments. The company values integrity, teamwork, and adaptability, creating a supportive work culture that encourages innovation and responsiveness to client needs.
The Event Staff position at Cohera Services plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of various events from start to finish. Team members are expected to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while demonstrating respect and attentiveness towards all guests, clients, hotel partners, and vendors. Employees must be fully conversant with the details of the Event Staff Agreement, which outlines reimbursable expenses, code of conduct, scheduling processes, and communication protocols. Regular participation in both in-person and online annual training sessions is mandatory to maintain readiness and professional standards.
Staff members are assigned shifts requiring punctuality and preparedness, with clear instructions provided by the Event Manager. Responsibilities include meticulous record-keeping of guest counts, driver information, and event specifics, as well as proactive communication of any updates or challenges encountered. Event Staff must be equipped with essential items such as a clipboard, counter clicker, a fully charged smartphone, spare phone charger, water, snacks, and meals to support extended and dynamic shifts. Uniform guidelines are clearly defined, requiring arrival in uniform or an all-black short-sleeved shirt and black pants until uniforms are issued.
This role also demands familiarity with local event venues and destinations to enhance guest interaction and contribute valuable insights. Using the Dayforce mobile app to clock in and out, verify hours, and submit expenses according to the payroll calendar is a fundamental part of the workflow. Employees are encouraged to be proactive, anticipate client needs, and effectively manage unexpected situations to ensure a seamless event experience. The position requires flexibility to work overtime when necessary and upholds high standards of honesty, integrity, and dedication to quality service. The role is ideal for someone with hospitality experience looking to grow within an innovative, client-focused company that values teamwork and continuous improvement.
