Their expertise lies in providing seamless and tailored hotel management solutions that highlight the unique attributes of each hotel, creating exceptional guest experiences consistently. The company fosters a culture of partnership and innovation, ensuring their hotels not only meet operational standards but excel in guest satisfaction and revenue growth. With a portfolio of dynamic properties, Coury Hospitality invests in leadership that drives the hospitality industry forward through commitment, creativity, and excellence.

One of their flagship properties, Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, exemplifies this commitment by offering more than just accommodations—it provides high-energy, stylish, and flawlessly executed events that create lasting impressions. Nestled in the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, the hotel blends music, culture, and hospitality to produce unforgettable experiences for both social celebrations and sophisticated corporate gatherings. As a major player in the San Diego hospitality scene, Hard Rock Hotel is a prime destination for travelers and event planners seeking a unique and elevated environment.

The Director of Catering role at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is a full-time, on-site, leadership position focused on driving catering revenue, elevating client experiences, and leading a high-performing team. This key position requires a strategic visionary who can inspire, manage, and develop an energetic sales team while cultivating strong relationships with clients and partners. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in the luxury or lifestyle hotel sector to maximize catering operations' revenue and operational excellence, ensuring every event reflects the Hard Rock brand’s creativity and quality.

This role is more than managing event sales; it’s about producing seamless, bold, and sophisticated catering experiences that enhance the hotel’s reputation and bottom line. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire catering sales process from lead generation and contract negotiation to event execution and follow-up. The Director will work in partnership with various hotel departments, including sales, marketing, culinary, and operations, to coordinate flawless event delivery. They will also maintain CRM systems for effective forecasting and reporting, participate actively in property meetings, and represent the hotel at networking and industry events.

Candidates should have at least five years of progressive catering sales experience, with a minimum of two years in a leadership role. Experience working in luxury or lifestyle hotels is essential to understand the high standards and sophistication required in this environment. Strong strategic thinking, revenue generation expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for client service set the foundation for success. Additionally, the role demands flexibility to support event schedules that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Joining Hard Rock Hotel San Diego offers unique perks such as a prime location in the Gaslamp Quarter, a chance to work with an iconic global brand, competitive salary with bonus potentials, hotel discounts, and opportunities for career advancement within Coury Hospitality. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-touch environments and who are passionate about elevating client experiences and shaping the future of catering operations in a dynamic hotel setting.
