The Event Manager serves as the primary client liaison after bookings are confirmed, managing event planning and logistics with professionalism and precision. Key responsibilities include updating banquet event orders, creating detailed floor plans, and ensuring proper staffing for all private events while supporting wine club parties on a quarterly basis. The Event Manager also coordinates catering with kitchen teams, facilitates final client walkthroughs and tastings, and leads day-of-event coordination, especially for weddings.
Beyond client interactions, this role demands leadership skills to supervise and motivate event staff including bar, safety, and coordinating teams. The manager conducts post-event evaluations, assists with staff onboarding and training, and provides operational support during off-peak seasons such as winter. Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be 21 years of age
- Washington State Liquor Control Board Class 12 MAST Permit must be obtained within 14 days of hiring
- Washington State Food Workers card must be obtained within 14 days of hiring
- Willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients post-booking regarding event-specific planning and logistics excluding contract and payment inquiries
- Update Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and create detailed floor plans
- Ensure proper staffing levels for all private events excluding wine club and concert events
- Support the quarterly planning and coordination of wine club parties
- Coordinate catering needs and timelines with the kitchen team
- Facilitate final walkthroughs and lead event tastings with clients
- Coordinate wedding rehearsals and serve as lead coordinator for day-of-event execution
- Supervise and lead all event staff including bar, safety, and coordinating teams
- Conduct post-event follow-up with clients and vendors and provide reports to the Venue Sales Manager
- Assist with onboarding and training of newly hired event staff
- Provide Tasting Room service support during winter months and cross-train to support operations across the property
- Adhere to all company policies and comply with state and federal regulations
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests at all times
- Stand and walk for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions as required
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Operate POS systems accurately process transactions and handle cash efficiently
- Maintain precise documentation of inventory transactions
- Uphold a clean, organized, and healthy work environment
