The Barback position at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center, a venue within the Oak View Group roster, is a temporary part-time role designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. This position plays a crucial role in supporting concessions bar operations during events, ensuring that concession stands remain fully stocked and operational. The Barback collaborates closely with bartenders and the Bar Lead to maintain efficient and professional service while adhering to all company policies regarding alcohol service and safety.

This temporary role is scheduled to begin on June 11, 2026, and conclude on June 23, 2026, with the position remaining open to applicants until June 31, 2026. Compensation for this role ranges from $22.50 to $23.50 per hour, in addition to being tip-eligible, providing an attractive opportunity for those seeking part-time employment in the food and beverage sector within a renowned entertainment venue.

Key responsibilities include managing bar product inventory by restocking all necessary supplies such as alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, ice wells, cups, napkins, utensils, stirrers, and garnishes like fruit. The Barback will also be responsible for moving kegs, assisting with beverage setup and breakdown, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in all bar areas. This role demands physical endurance as it involves standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in high-volume, sometimes crowded or noisy event environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced bar or concessions environment and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive interactions with co-workers, management, and guests. Essential certifications include a valid food handler's certificate and an alcohol service permit. The ability to perform basic math functions related to inventory management and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules are also required.
