The role of Warehouse Security Guard - Console Lobby in San Antonio is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic security team in a demanding warehouse environment. This full-time position involves working 32 hours per week during morning and evening shifts throughout the weekend and the start of the week. The Security Guard is primarily responsible for ensuring safety within a giant fulfillment center and its surrounding areas, including parking lots and trailer yards. Duties include conducting patrols to identify potential security risks, controlling access to the facility by checking identification, monitoring surveillance cameras and alarms, and providing exceptional customer service to guests and personnel. The role requires proficiency with computer and smartphone technology to manage visitor access, print badges, and track activities effectively.

This position demands vigilance, excellent communication, and the ability to handle emergency situations with professionalism and quick judgment. Guards in this role are expected to document occurrences such as property damage, theft, or accidents through detailed reporting. They also serve as the first point of contact in emergencies by coordinating with operations management and law enforcement when necessary. GardaWorld supports continuous learning and certification, requiring candidates to hold or obtain a state security license and CPR certification. Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age or older as required by law
  • State security license or ability to obtain one
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain one
  • Availability for weekend and evening shifts
  • Physical ability to walk and patrol building and surrounding areas

Job Duties

  • Complete full building and grounds patrols to spot and investigate concerns
  • Draft reports of property damage, theft, accidents, and unusual occurrences to document daily activities and irregularities
  • Check identification of people entering and exiting the facility to eliminate unauthorized visitors
  • Secure company goods against robbery, vandalism, and illegal entry
  • Monitor and man the security/front desk in lobby and roving patrols
  • Provide directions and excellent customer service to guests
  • Use a computer visitor management system to print and disseminate badges
  • Control access ensuring only authorized personnel enter the site
  • Conduct camera and alarm surveillance
  • Assist operations management in emergencies and contact police when needed
