The role of part-time weeknight Concierge within the Provincial Senior Living community presents an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on seniors' lives in a supportive and rewarding work environment. This position is specifically designed to support the daily operations and enhance the overall experience for residents, families, and staff members.
Scheduled for Thursday from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, the Concierge plays an essential role in providing exceptional customer service at the first point of contact within the community. The primary responsibility is greeting residents, guests, and employees warmly while managing internal and external phone calls efficiently. The Concierge is responsible for taking precise messages, communicating them promptly, and providing general information, including directions and inquiries.
Additionally, the Concierge supports administrative tasks such as collating brochures for the marketing department, preparing meal tickets and tallying meal counts, updating resident phone lists, rosters, and move-in/move-out registers daily. The position also involves managing appointments for residents and family members, including scheduling services such as hairdresser visits and transportation, and maintaining an organized and neat front desk and entry area.
The role demands a high level of organization, communication skills, and attention to detail, which directly contribute to the seamless and welcoming atmosphere within the community. This position also requires adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring that operational standards are consistently met. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the community and staff members.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- One to three years customer service experience and/or training
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and team members
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
- Basic computer skills
- Availability to work part-time hours as specified
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- One to three years customer service experience and/or training
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Duties
- Carries out telephone answering and reception duties as required
- Takes complete messages with pertinent information and communicates messages to the intended recipient
- Greets residents and visitors
- Answers inquiries and gives directions
- Collates brochures for the marketing department
- Prepares meal tickets for team members and family members, tallies meal count sheets for the Dining staff
- Updates the Resident Phone List and Roster and Move-In and Move-Out Register daily
- Guest and Sign-In Logs as necessary
- Manages appointments for residents and family members such as but not limited to hairdresser, transportation, etc
- Maintains and keeps desk and entry area neat and organized
- Organizes, distributes mail to residents, Executive Director and Department Coordinators
- Maintains resident forms for miscellaneous credits
- Maintains adherence to all company personnel policies and established operating policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
