Position: Sous Chef (Non-Exempt)
About: TARTINE, a renowned dining establishment, is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join their team. The Sous Chef plays a crucial role in preparing culinary items, executing the menu, and ensuring high levels of performance and guest satisfaction in the dining room.
Requirements: Five or more years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter; able to communicate effectively with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests; able to work in a standing position for long periods of time; advanced understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills; ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with US currency; physical ability to stand, handle, reach, and lift objects; familiarity with safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
