About: A restaurant is seeking an individual to assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations and back-of-house (BOH) tasks. The position involves ensuring the execution of the Chef’s culinary direction, collaborating with management on daily business operations, and maintaining kitchen standards in line with health regulations.

Requirements: Culinary skill and knowledge to execute the entire menu as per the Executive Chef’s standards; Thorough understanding of safe food handling practices and Department of Health (DOH) standards; Proficiency in managing kitchen financial responsibilities like food and labor costs; Effective communication with kitchen staff and management; Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan for efficient kitchen functioning; Possession of a food safety certificate; Capacity to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds
