Position: Sous Chef job
About: Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a dedicated individual to join our dining service department, upholding the LSS mission of ‘Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest’ while maintaining quality control, sanitation, and efficient service. The role involves training, supervising meal preparation, and overseeing all dining service operations in adherence to Lutheran values and code of conduct.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; Culinary degree preferred; Two years experience in a supervisory capacity in a restaurant, healthcare/retirement facility or equivalent setting; A minimum three years quality cooking or restaurant cooking experience; Certification in food service sanitation required; Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, make basic calculations, and use Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and Outlook.
