Position: Pastry Sous Chef – Edwards Dessert Kitchen

About: Edwards Dessert Kitchen is a creative and friendly dessert kitchen located at 200 N Washington Ave in Minneapolis, MN. The Pastry Sous Chef position involves producing beautiful desserts under the guidance of the Executive Chef, creating plant-based and gluten-free desserts, and encouraging creative collaboration and teamwork within the kitchen environment.

Requirements: Preferred degree or certification from an accredited culinary institution; 3+ years pastry experience and kitchen management experience in a restaurant or bakery; knowledge and experience in all baking, patisserie, and viennoiserie; understanding of basic temperatures, percentages, and ratios for recipe creation; experience in making prep lists, ordering ingredients, and costing; positive attitude with strong leadership skills; ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift 50 pounds; knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and OSHA requirements within a kitchen
