Position: Catering & Banquet Production Chef
About: University Catering, a unit of University Housing & Dining, is seeking a Catering Production Chef to oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and staffing for events. The role is crucial in maintaining quality, consistency, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction for catered events.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, Institutional Management, Hotel & Restaurant administration or related field, or equivalent education and experience; 1 year or more experience in banquet planning, food preparation, and food presentation in a high-volume culinary operation; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; ServSafe certification within 12 months of hire; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Program requirements
