Position: Banquet Chef

About: White River Conference Center in Springfield, MO is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Banquet Sous Chef to oversee the planning, organization, and execution of banquets. The center is known for its commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences and hosting successful events in a high-volume banquet kitchen environment.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 5 years experience in a high-volume banquet kitchen and a minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de partie; strong knowledge of food safety; ability to work flexible hours and days; ability to lead and mentor a team of culinary professionals; strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; basic computer skills; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to bend, lift, and carry heavy objects; ability to lift 50 lbs
